A WOODSY ISLAND WEDDING AT ROSARIO RESORT

Where do I start with these two … with their day in general. I’m instantly happy every time get on the ferry to Orcas Island, it’s that kind of place (someday we’ll build a cabin there … someday) Even more so when it’s for a wedding planned by the always lovely Valley & Co. - as if being fantastically detailed planners, designers, and florists (the fresh, seasonal florals they created for this day were amazing!) wasn’t enough, they always bring this sense of positivity and peace to every event. Which really fit in perfectly with this couple, Lauren & Ben.

They’re the sort of people that you just know are making the world a better place, in action and intent and being. I loved how present and heartfelt they were in their wedding day and with their family and friends. Probably why this post is so long - there was so much emotion on unscripted display, narrowing down a photo selection was impossible.

The day starting with trekking to the top of Mt. Constitution for their first look and to hang out with the wedding party. It was amazing being up there as the mist roiled around the mountainside, and finally burned off, leaving us with that stunning view of the surrounding islands.Bonus points for the giant eagle that flew right over their heads later that evening during speeches (see the photo down in the post.)

So thankful to have been a part of their wedding on Orcas Island, at Rosario Resort. Thankful to have been able to bear witness to some of their life-affirming moments.
