seattle engagement shoot

If you ask me, summer is hands-down  the best time of year in the Seattle. The days are long, golden hour seems to last forever, and mostly, it's finally just warm and not raining.  What better time to trek around Discovery Park for these guys' engagement session? Add in their ridiculously cute goldendoodle (are you sensing a theme here? bring alllll the dogs to your wedding / engagement shoot with me) and it was a heck of a summer's eve.

This is a big one. Going back through the tens of thousands of photos from this year, I pulled out 100+ that caught my eye. Actually it was way more than that, but after a few days of editing down, it's a bit more manageable. Call it the 'best of', or the highlight reel... it's hard to pick favorites ... all my work is important to me. I get attached and sentimental about the photos I make, because of what, and who, they represent.

So, with no particular theme or order, I hope you enjoy this: a collection of just some of the moments I was blessed to be a part of this year.

2011 was fantastic. I don't think I've ever worked this much, learned this much, or had this much fun before. To my clients, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for trusting me. To my friends, to say your encouragement and (more importantly?) entertainment meant a lot to me would be a huge understatement. Thank you.

Can't wait to go to work on 2012.
